Can we get a sample of the wood finish for your teak benches?

Absolutely, you can! We not only understand the importance of seeing and feeling the finish before committing to a custom piece—we insist on it. Our teak benches are crafted from premium, sustainably sourced Grade-A teak, but the "soul" of the bench truly comes alive through its finish. Here’s how we handle sample requests to ensure your vision becomes reality:

First, we offer three distinct finish options: our Natural Oiled finish, which deepens the wood’s golden-brown luster while leaving the grain open and tactile; our Semi-Matte Clear finish, which provides a subtle protective layer without masking the wood’s character; and our Weathered Silver finish, which simulates the patina of decades-old seaside teak.

To provide a sample, we cut a 4" x 4" piece of the same teak we use in production, applying your chosen finish to both the top and bottom surfaces. This way, you can test how the color reacts to different lighting in your space—natural daylight versus a covered porch, for example.

I personally recommend requesting two samples: one finished with the natural oil, and one finished with the semi-matte. Lay them side-by-side on your actual flooring or deck for a week. Observe how the grain catches the evening light. Does the oiled version feel too "raw" against your modern furniture? Does the semi-matte read as "too plastic"? Your answers will guide the final touch.
