Are your planter boxes easy to assemble, or do they come pre-built?
Great question! And I’m so excited to answer it because this is where our planter boxes really shine. Think of us as that friend who shows up with a fully decorated cake, not just a bag of flour and a recipe. But wait—I’ll explain.
First, the honest truth: our planter boxes do NOT come completely pre-built. Why? Because shipping a fully assembled wooden box the size of a small coffee table would be like trying to mail a sofa through a straw—impossible without breaking your budget (and your back). So we made a clever choice: we deliver them as a quick-assembly kit that even your least handy neighbor could put together in under 15 minutes.
Here’s how it works: I like to say we’ve already done 90% of the work for you. The side panels are pre-cut and pre-drilled. The corners are pre-fitted with interlocking tabs. You literally just fold the sides up, slide the bottom into place, and snap the locking corners shut. No screws. No hammers. No swearing at tiny Allen wrenches that disappear into the couch cushions. In fact, one of our customers told me she assembled hers while waiting for her morning coffee to brew—and she still had time to add the soil before the mug was empty.
But let’s be clear: if you’re the type who hates any assembly at all, we also offer a pre-assembled option on select models for an extra fee. These are built by hand in our workshop, wrapped in recycled padding, and shipped in oversized custom boxes. Just take the box off your porch, slide the planter out, and fill it with dirt. That’s it. Of course, the shipping cost is higher, and the delivery takes a few extra days, but for that “unbox and plant” experience, it’s totally worth it.
So to sum it up: easy to assemble? Yes—easier than IKEA furniture by a mile. Pre-built? Also yes, if you want it that way. We designed our system so you can choose your own adventure. Personally, I love the snap-together version because it makes me feel like a master builder at my own garden project. And honestly, I think you’re going to love it too.
