Let me walk you through one of my favorite recent projects. We worked with a corporate campus that wanted to soften the stark lines of their main entrance plaza. They needed something that could handle heavy foot traffic, seasonal weather changes, and still look polished year-round. We installed a series of our custom powder-coated steel planter boxes—ranging from 4 feet to 8 feet in length—along the walkways and near the building’s glass facade.

In the photos, you’ll see how we paired the planters with a mix of tall ornamental grasses, compact evergreens, and seasonal flowering perennials. The deep charcoal finish of the planters contrasts beautifully against the warm stone pavement, and the clean, modern lines of the boxes echo the architecture of the building itself. What I especially love is the integrated irrigation system we designed—hidden within the planter walls—which keeps maintenance low and the plants lush even during dry spells.

One of the photos shows the planters during a golden sunset, with the light casting long shadows across the plaza. Another captures a close-up of the drainage detail and the slight elevation that prevents water pooling. The clients were thrilled with how the planters create natural gathering spots without cluttering the open space.
