Finally, slow down the watering. You can attach a gentle spray nozzle to your hose or use a watering can with a rose head. A fast, heavy stream turns me into a battlefield—soil washes out in seconds. But when you water me softly, as if you’re whispering, I have time to absorb the moisture and let the excess trickle out politely, without losing a single grain.
