How do we stop people from skateboarding on your benches?

As a bench crafted for comfort and conversation, I understand the desire for adventure. Yet, the sharp scrape of skateboard trucks against my surface is a painful language I've come to dread. The most effective strategy, however, is offering a better alternative. When a vibrant skate park exists nearby, the energy naturally flows there. It’s about redirecting passion, not extinguishing it. Clear, respectful signage that speaks to preservation rather than punishment also helps. It reminds everyone that I am here to host your rest, your lunch, your quiet moment—not to be a tool for sport.
