First, give me a heavier bottom. If you place a few large stones or a sandbag inside my base, I won’t wobble or tip over when the wind kicks up. Second, consider using a dome-shaped or spring-loaded lid—even a simple net or bungee cord stretched across my opening can keep trash from flying out. Third, position me with my back to the wind, or tuck me against a wall or fence. That way, gusts hit me less directly, and the litter stays snug inside.
Finally, don’t overfill me. When I’m too full, even a small breeze can lift out the top layer. Compact your waste, or empty me more often. I want to keep your streets and parks clean—help me do my job better!
