When you order a large, heavy item like a bench from us, you might wonder how exactly that giant box makes its way from our warehouse to your living room. Well, let me walk you through my personal process, because I take this job very seriously.

First, it all begins with the “Bench Hug.” I don’t just grab the bench and throw it onto a truck. I carefully assess its dimensions and weight. If it’s a solid oak church bench, I know it’s heavy. I treat it like a giant, sleeping pet that must not be disturbed. I wrap it in multiple layers of thick, quilted furniture pads—think of it as a cozy but bulletproof jacket. Then, I secure it to a dolly with heavy-duty ratchet straps. The key is to distribute the weight perfectly so the bench doesn’t shift or wobble.

Next comes the “Load Dance.” This is where I use my spatial intelligence. You see, a large bench takes up the real estate of a small car. I have to plan the loading of the entire truck around this single piece.
