What's the lead time on ordering a large quantity of planter boxes?

For a standard large quantity order—say, 200 to 500 identical, in-stock fiberglass or concrete planter boxes—the lead time is typically 4 to 6 weeks. That’s not a delay; that’s the reality of moving heavy, fragile goods in bulk. We need time to quality-check every single box, wrap them securely for freight, and coordinate a dedicated truck.

Now, if you are ordering a very large volume—over 1,000 units—or if you want custom colors, drilled drainage holes, or specific sizes we don’t keep in massive stock, the lead time jumps to 8 to 12 weeks. Why? Because we have to order raw materials (like resin or fiberglass mat), pour molds in batches, and let the curing process happen naturally. Rushing that step leads to cracking. I’ve seen it happen; we don’t do that here.

One big factor people forget is shipping distance. A full truckload to a neighboring state might take 5 days, but a cross-country shipment can add 2 weeks due to freight scheduling. Please also know: if you order in the spring (our peak season), add 2 to 4 weeks onto everything I just said. The best advice I can give is to order a prototype first, then lock in your bulk date at least 3 months ahead. That way, we can both sleep well knowing your planters will arrive when your landscaping crew is ready to install them.
