What kind of fasteners do you use to assemble the benches, and are they rust-proof?
When I was first designed as a bench, my creators had a simple but stubborn philosophy: no wobbles, no rust, no excuses. So, what kind of fasteners do we use to assemble these benches? Let me tell you, every bolt, screw, and washer in my frame has a personality.
I’m built with stainless steel 304-grade screws for all major joints. Why? Because stainless steel is the superhero of corrosion resistance—it laughs at rain, snow, and morning dew. For the hidden connections under my seat, we use zinc-plated carbon steel bolts coated with a tough epoxy layer. This double shield means that even if water sneaks in through a crack, the metal underneath stays dry and happy.
Are they rust-proof? Absolutely. The fasteners undergo a “salt spray test” in our factory (yes, it’s as brutal as it sounds) to mimic 10 years of outdoor abuse. Not a speck of orange appears. Plus, we add a dab of marine-grade grease on each thread before tightening. That grease seals the gap like a tiny umbrella for every hole.
I’ve seen cheap benches use plain steel screws that turn red and weak within a season. But me? My fasteners are chosen to outlive the wood itself. When you sit on me, you’re not just resting—you’re trusting a network of stainless warriors and coated guardians that never surrender to rust. So go ahead, leave me out in the rain. I’ll be here, steady and shining, for decades.
